Travel Plan

As part of your development, a Travel Plan has been prepared which sets out the objectives and benefits of the Travel Plan. This document also sets out the targets and measures which will be in place across the monitoring period. The objectives of the Travel Plan include:

Reduce the reliance on the private car and promote sustainable modes of travel
Develop an awareness of the options for sustainable travel to and from the site amongst residents
Promote car sharing, walking, cycling and public transport as safe, efficient, affordable alternatives to private cars and highlight the health and environmental benefits of using sustainable travel modes
Minimise the impact of car-based travel to the site on the local and strategic highway network and environment

Targets will be set following an initial baseline survey and will be agreed with Hampshire County Council. The success of the Travel Plan will be measured on whether the targets have been achieved and will be reviewed throughout the 10-year monitoring period.

Travel Plan Incentives

As part of the Travel Plan, each household is entitled to one travel voucher worth up to £50. With flexible options, you have the opportunity to choose an option that suits you and your household:

Option 1 – a choice of bus or rail pass. Choose a pass or season ticket which suits you for bus or rail travel from Kings Langley and we will reimburse you for up to £50.

Option 2 – a contribution towards walking or cycling equipment of your choice of up to £50.

How does it work?

Please purchase your bus or rail ticket or walking or cycling equipment and follow the steps below.

Please send us an email at millworkstpc@i-transport.co.uk, and provide the following information:

Proof of purchase in the form of a receipt
Your plot number and address (this is to ensure one voucher per household)
Proof of address
Bank details (Full Name, Account Number, Sort Code)

We will then be in touch to confirm details about your Travel Plan Voucher.
